About Gary

    Gary Peterson first got involved in theatre during college.  After graduation from Columbia College, he worked with several theatre groups, where he produced, directed, or acted in many productions

in and around the Chicago area.   

   His acting credits include 1776, The Star-Spangled Girl, and Charley's Aunt.

   As a producer or director he has been at the helm for productions of Godspell, You're A Good Man Charlie Brown, and Exit the Body, amongst others.

   His first published stage play was the melodramatic comedy Klondike Kalamity, which he co-authored with his friend, David A Byrne. It was published by Dramatic Publishing Co. in 1978, and saw productions all over the world for 40+ years.    
   Gary's career in television began in 1975 with a film editing job at WCIU-TV in Chicago. 
In 1980, he moved to WLS-TV and became an Emmy award-winning video editor with Disney/ABC, where he remained until his retirement in 2017.
